It's a good thing that we got the baby room ready when we did because our friends and families have helped us fill it up with all that we'll need for baby girl when she arrives! The past two Saturdays have been our first baby showers and they have been so much fun! Not only is it great to see friends, but Darcie says it's fun to talk about baby things with all the girls.
The first shower was in Plano - my home town. My Mom's friends who had thrown Darcie and I a wedding shower wanted to get together again and throw us a baby shower!
The shower this past weekend was with all of our friends from Pine Cove. Both showers were great and we are so blessed to have so many family and friends who care for us and are excited about the birth of our baby girl!

The other latest...
We do have a little bit of a life outside of our dog, so I thought I'd put some other photos up here. Does this shirt make me look fat? This is the latest belly pic - at about 31 1/2 weeks - so only about 8 more weeks to go. That's hard to fathom! It's gone by so fast. We've also had a chance to work a little bit on the nursery which has been fun, but needless to say, we're glad we have a little bit of time left so we can finish it up. Don't come too early, little girl! We still have stuff to do. :-)
And, because we can't resist putting pictures of the cute dog (just wait til we have a kid!), here's a picture of him sleeping in the car after we took him to a picnic at the park for 4 hours. Tuckered out!

Big Boy Bed
Well, we've passed another great landmark in the Lantz family this week. Friday night was Cinco's first night in his "big boy bed," meaning a bed on the floor in the living room rather than in a crate or barricaded in. He got up once the first night to pay us a visit in our bedroom, to which dad (Matt), said, "No, bad dog," and returned him to his bed. He slept the rest of the night out there. He is getting even better as the days go on. Last night, Matt says Cinco even got up in the middle of the night, went to the kitchen to get a drink of water (from his bowl - we haven't taught him to serve himself from the fridge yet) and went back to bed without being told.
They just grow up so fast. (sniffle sniffle) Our little boy is getting so big. We are anxious to see how he will handle having a little 'sister' in the house in a couple of months with the arrival of the baby. We took him to the park last Friday as well, where our over 800 summer staff were having a dinner picnic, and he did quite well with all the counselors, and even the little kids that were there. He was very gentle and even gave one little 2 year-old a kiss on the lips when she bent down and puckered up. So, there is hope that he is calming down and will be a great house dog, and a good big brother.
